Soprano, comedian, and celebrity impressionist Dorothy Bishop is the creator and star of The Dozen Divas Show, her acclaimed one-woman celebration of the world’s most iconic divas.

 

For a decade, Dorothy has brought The Dozen Divas Show to New York City’s historic Triad Theater, featuring powerhouse vocals, rapid-fire comedy, onstage transformations, and hilarious multimedia “duets.” Her affectionate impressions range from Cher, Dolly Parton, and Stevie Nicks to Liza Minnelli, Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand, and Madonna.

 

Dorothy has headlined luxury cruise lines and performed throughout the United States, Mexico, and South America. Her engagements include Pride celebrations at New York City’s legendary Stonewall Inn, Staten Island Pride, Jacksonville Pride, Royal Oak Pride , and Cherry Grove , as well as Theater Jacksonville and the historic Florida Theatre.

 

Her New York credits include the Off-Broadway hit Spamilton, in which she impersonated Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters, and Patti LuPone.

 

A graduate of the Yale School of Music, Dorothy combines a world-class voice, fearless comedy, and decades of theatrical experience. She continues performing at the Triad and bringing The Dozen Divas Show to theaters, performing-arts centers, cruise ships, Pride celebrations, and special events.
